À propos de l'événement
This workshop is a part of our Guest Artists Series.
This workshop is an introduction to basketry using three common weaving materials that are native to Vermont; birch bark, cedar bark and black ash. Students will create a series of small baskets using a variety of weaving techniques and in the process learn one of the oldest crafts in human history. For thousands of years baskets served as indispensable objects in every culture. Carry on the tradition and take home a trio of beautiful, durable and useful baskets crafted from responsibly harvested materials.
A materials fee of $50 will be due to the instructor upon arrival.
We will have a lunch break. There are restaurants right here in the downtown strip to grab a bite or bring your lunch and eat right here in the studio.
