Guest Instructor- Birch Bark Ornaments with Penny Hewitt

Enjoy  the simple pleasure of creating a decoration or gift from materials  responsibly harvested in Vermont.  Utilizing techniques common to the  Scandinavian and Russian style of basketry, you will craft birds and  stars using strips of inner bark from the paper birch.  Included is a  discussion on how these materials are harvested and prepared. Everyone  will go home with 3 ornaments.
